Dr K.V.N.Sunitha completed her B.Tech ECE from NagarjunaUniversity, M.Tech Computer Science from REC Warangal. She is awarded Ph.D from JNTU, Hyderabad in 2006. She has 29 years of Teaching Experience. She worked as Founder HOD, CSE Dept in G.Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science, Hyd from 2001 to July 2012. Currently she is working as Founder Principal & Professor in CSE at BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering for Women, Nizampet, Hyderabad since August 2012.
She received “Academic Excellence Award” by GNITS on 18th September 2005, “Best computer Science engineering Teacher award for the year 2007” by ISTE on 23rd Feb 2008, "Best Faculty" award in Academic Brilliance Awards-2013 by Indian Education Expo on April 2013 @ New Delhi, "Distinguished Principal Award" by CSI Mumbai on 15th January 2017 @ IIT Bombay, Received Deewang Mehtha “Women in Education Award” by B-Schools, IPE on 15th April 2017. She was felicitated for outstanding contribution & achievements in the field of Engineering in Women Engineers meet held on 29th Indian Engineering congress, IEI held at Visveswaraiah Bhavan, Hyderabad on 18/12/2014. ,received “Distinguished Principal Award in Telangana 2019“ by ISTE .She has been recognized & invited by AICTE as NBA Expert Evaluator. Her autobiography was included in “Marquis Who is Who in the World “ , 28th edition 2011.
She has authored five text books, “Programming in UNIX and Compiler design”- BS Publications , “Formal Languages and Automata Theory” by Pearson India Ltd , " Theory of Computation” by TMH in 2011 & "Compiler Construction", Pearson India Ltd, July 2013 & a Chapter on "Telugu Speech Corrector " in the book under NOVA publishers,USA.
Her areas of research include NLP, Speech Processing, N/W & Web Security. She has guided 10 Ph.Ds and currently guiding 8 research scholars. .She also received 60 lakhs of funding Projects . She has published 170 papers in International & National Journals and conferences. She is a reviewer for many Journals. She is fellow of Inst of Engineers, Sr member for IEEE,CSI,ACM
